Weighing only 10.4 pounds and sporting a screen that's less than 3 inches thick, the monitor is so thin and light that, taking it out of the box, we had an instinctive reaction of "this can't be high quality--it's too light!" However, we soon changed our mind. In our tests, the 1530V's 1,024 x 768 resolution, 0.3-millimeter dot pitch, and a 200:1 contrast ratio provided remarkably crisp images. (Although you can use the monitor at a 640 x 480 resolution, 1,024 x 768 is optimal and recommended.) Text that was small and light against a dark background did suffer from slight shadowing, but the effect was negligible. The color was astounding: rich, fully saturated hues across the rainbow, producing vibrant greens and warm skin tones. The monitor handled graphics-intensive applications with ease: we loaded test images into Photoshop, watched streaming media videos, and tested animation programs. We never caught a single flicker. And when we ran a program that would benefit from reducing the contrast, the onscreen controls were readily accessible and completely intuitive. Also, the monitor's base, which is just over 6 inches deep by 10 inches wide, kept the monitor stable even when the screen was tilted to extreme angles.

I purchased my white NEC MultiSync LCD 1530V flat-screen monitor for $500 at Curcuit City in mid-2001 when first entering college, before flat-screens became du rigeur.
Now, four years later, it is still running strong and still has the same clarity and crisp quality to its graphics that it did when I had first hooked it up to my eMachines computer yea many moons ago. Attached to my "new" Compaq Presario 6000, it gives me as fine performance as it did from the start.
Because it's such a lightweight, it hardly took up any space at all on my old tiny desk, and now leaves me with an abundance of room to work with on my more recent "artist table".
It's also ridiculously easy to move around, so I'm not encumbered by bulk when redesigning my room or in the event that I have to move to another apartment. The ideal 1024x768 screen resolution gives me plenty of detail when working with large graphics for my websites, and remains finally detailed down to a 5pt font.
I have taken good care of my NEC flat monitor, and it has served me well. I would recommend this fine durable piece of equipment to any web designer or graphics artist.

The time has arrived for LCD monitors. The price is now right and the quality is definitely up there. I have been quite pleased with this monitor. I carefully compared it with others in the store and was impressed by the sharpness of display and the vivid colors. When I got it home I was delighted with the DVD experience this monitor provides - quite a bit like 3D! Of course, like all LCDs, this one is amazingly lightweight and it takes up such a small amount of desk space. Over the next couple of years I expect LCDs to largely supplant CRTs in the home. I give this product four stars, reserving five stars for the much more expensive units.
An Excellent 15" LCD Flat Panel Monitor.......2002-02-17
After my old 15" CRT monitor went dead, and after reading all the reviews from this website, I was convinced to go out and get a LCD flat panel monitor. I did some serious research to find out which monitor was better between this one and the Envision 15" LCD monitor. So I went out and got the NEC MultiSync LCD 1530v. I was very impressed on how quick and easy it was to set it up. The "auto adjust" feature tuned in my monitor correctly the first time. My wife and I have played many video games with this monitor without any problems! When playing a DVD, the picture is crisp and clear with no signs of distortion. The colors on this monitor are absolutely amazing! My wife who uses the computer as much as I do also gives this monitor 5 stars for the reason that it does not hurt her eyes. For those of you whose eyes have low tolerance to glare, you don't have to worry about that. The monitor works best at a resolution of 1024x768. My system is an AMD K6-2 550MHz processor, Windows XP operating system, and ATI Radeon 7200 video card. I've had this monitor for 3 months now. I must say that it was the BEST purchase I've made!
If you're looking for an LCD flat panel monitor and can't afford to spend much money, then this monitor is for you. The viewing size of this monitor is 15.1", the same size of a 17" CRT monitor. UNBELIEVABLE PHONE!!.......2004-12-06
I have a Sanyo model which is identical to this except it seems to be a slightly earlier model than the one pictured, but it's pretty much the same phone. This phone... is the toughest piece of equipment I've ever seen. My dad got it for my sister's birthday when cordless phones were a pretty new creation, about 6-7 years ago for $400. Let me tell you, this thing is unbelievable. This phone has been dropped on cement, lynoleum, thrown against walls, flipped in the air and landed on tables, dropped 20 ft. down a stairwell, literally hundreds and hundreds of times, and it STILL WORKS!! After only 2-3 hours of charging, it still has a life of well over 24 hrs! I've left it idle for 5 days, and still made several calls. The battery has NEVER needed a replacement. During this phone's life, it has been so severely mistreated that any other piece of electronics would have been destroyed long ago. It has come apart and pieces fell out, but they were just put back in and the case snapped back together, and it worked fine! The ringer has even changed its tone due to an accident that occured, but there's nothing wrong with that! I've taken this phone literally 2 miles from the house and it worked great! The speakerphone and intercom still work perfect. Almost every number button has been faded from so much use. The back of the phone is taped up to keep the battery inside, but that is my fault! I've TRIED to break this phone (within reason), and it slapped me in the face and said "HELL NO!".
All I have to say is, this thing is a BEAST! I'm trying to look for a new phone with caller ID on the handset, but I'm afraid I will never find another quite like this one! I respect Sanyo greatly for such an outstanding product.
Excellent line of cordless phones.......2000-05-16
I bought the next one up 937A which is exactly the same except that it includes a speaker phone ability on the handset(it works great and is crisp and clear with good volume and no need to shout to be heard either). I used to have a SBC cordless that never worked properly, this is an excellent phone in every way and even CR gives it high marks. I can take the handset across the street to a park and walk at least a 1/4 mile(probably more) in to the park with trees over head and I can still make a very clear phone call(great for walking the dog or just relaxing in the park on a sunny day, no need to bring my cell phone), and the base is in my apartment on the 12th floor. I love this phone. It is a good value too.

IIt is a good phone with good sound and range. It's sister phone (looks just like it) is a speakerphone that received the highest ranking on cordless phone report.
The only trick -- it looks like it has a lighted keypad but it doesn't.
Overall -- definitely would recommend. Price is very good for a DSS phone.

I wished I had read all of the reviews for this when I bought mine two years ago. It is worse than a piece of junk because I paid too much money for it and it is useless. The buttons are not easy to use, when I think I am turning it up, I have somehow skipped to the FM radio and cannot seem to get back, other times it seems to cycle through the same 5 songs for no apparent reason. I am still very bitter about spending so much money for a worthless piece of junk - not to mention all the time I have spent trying to make it work.

As most who bought this one knows the battery door did indeed break on my sons. It skips and freezes really bad. He still uses it but I do not think it would hurt his feelings if it got stolen at school! lol

electrical short kills cheap-med quality head phones! i lost four before i figure out the problem. and no, it was not just one player. i returned it and got a new one, and it did the same thing. I gave it a 2 and not a 1 because it records radio very well.DO NOT BUY!
Progressively Worse.......2007-04-09
At first I thought it was a pretty nice little MP3 player, although the 60 songs it holds has always been a thorn in my side. I didn't mind converting everthing over to real player since it doesn't play itunes, however, after about three months I had to change the battery...After changing the battery, the mp3 player would randomly shut off, which became a constant problem after every battery change, though eventually the problem would solve itself. Approximately a year later, the battery cover was also constantly falling off for no apparent reason. Now, about a year and a half since purchase, it has completely died, only playing about two minutes worth before shutting off on its own and refusing to reboot for several minutes. It's a great player for the price, but I would have liked something a little more dependable with a larger memory.
NO RESUME!!!.......2006-09-08
The title says it all. If you bought this player for listening to audiobooks, which is what I did, you'll be extremely disappointed that you'll have to fast forward through the book every time you start it up since there is no resume feature. Considering audiobooks are anywhere from 3 to 8 hours long in most cases, or at least the pieces you get from audible are, it's totally inconvenient to start playing from the beginning each time you turn it on. Get used to the fast forward button and remembering exactly what time you were at because you're going to be doing a lot of it. Lame.

Product Description
The StarTech.com Slot 1 Pentium II/III CPU cooling fan is a combination of heatsink and fan designed for cooling Intel Pentium II and III CPUs that use the SECC2 cartridge. A quiet running 5cm brushless ball bearing DC motor coupled with a high-efficiency blade design is capable of moving 9 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air. Power is supplied to the fan using a 3-lead TX3 connector that plugs into the motherboard and allows the system to monitor fan speed and operating status.
