I have had the frustrating journey too of learning the hard way about the CR-SRT100 SSR Receiver. It also goes by designation of CR-ZX0161Z. I was able to obtain it by buying a used CR-SRF100 which is the SRT100 plus a Control Display Unit(CDU)which is for non Sirius ready units. I then figured out that the supplied wiring harness (M2C457018) that you connect to the CDU is different than the one you use for hooking up the SRT100 to a Panasonic Sirius ready head unit.That harness is the M2C457019,which,thank God,you can purchase for a pricey $32.17 at www.PASC.Panasonic.com. I love my car stereo and was willing to do all this. If given another try at building a stereo system with the intention of using it to use Sirius or XM I would go with another brand where there are deals that throw in a FREE Satellite tuner with your head unit purchase. ...is obviously an employee of Sirius, all of his 8 reviews are designed to run down XM radio and promote Sirius. What a pitiful, brainlessly-obvious fake. Surely Amazon can do a better job of screening out goons like this, otherwise the credibility of its users' reviews will continue to plummet.

Me, I own nor use neither system, just wanted to post this as a heads-up for unsuspecting Amazon users, so I'm giving it 3 stars as a neutral rating.

Don't get this unit for Sirius Radio..........2004-02-24

Get Kenwood or Audiovox instead. The newer 2004 models that are coming out from Panasonic are no longer Sirius-ready. I confirmed that talking to their support line today.

Trying to locate the necessary Panasonic receiver (CR-SRT100) to go with this head unit for Sirius service is near impossible now as it is no longer in any retail stores and has been discontinued. You might find it on Ebay or some obscure web sites overpriced, but you might also have problems getting other parts as well, such as a TERK SIR-SP splitter needed to hook up this hard-to-find CR-SRT100 receiver to an TERK SIR3 Sirius Satellite antenna that is equally impossible to find now in retail outlets.

Panasonic already burned older 3DO customers with backing out of their M3 gaming console product when the Playstation took over the market. Don't let them do the same to you if you want Sirius radio support from them.

Just wanted to advise Amazon users that, for reasons known only to himself, Eduardo Nietzsche has posted slanderous statements about me on several items available on Amazon.com. I wrote my honest (albeit, excited) review of Sirius vs XM in February 2004 and posted to several items related to the services. It recently came to my attention that Mr. Nietzsche, in his divine omniscience, has declared to the world that I (Roy Givens III) "...[am]obviously an employee of Sirius" (I am not.) He then referred to my review as "...a pitiful, brainlessly-obvious fake" and called me a "goon".
He then admits that he owns neither system, yet he gives XM 3 stars. Footnote: in my Feb 2004 review I pointed out that by XM giving up their commercial advertising they would have to raise their prices. They did indeed raise prices on February 28, 2005, to the same $12.95 per month as Sirius...exactly as I had predicted one year earlier in my review (below).

First of all, NONE of the music channels on Sirius have commercials. As far as the $3.00 a month subscription difference between Sirius and XM, just wait. XM is dropping their ads soon and they're going to have to make up that revenue somehow. Guess who's gonna pay for it? XM subscribers, that's who. So, don't get too used to that $9.95/mo XM rate, because it's going up. Anyway, here's what I like about Sirius: crystal clear digital reception, a wide variety of in-genre music streams (16 different streams in the "Rock" category alone) and, starting this year, all the NFL games each week. They already carry the NBA and NHL, so Sirius is a sports fan's dream. The docking systems work great, too. I've got a docking kit connected to my stereo at home and another one in my car, so I just pop the Here2Anywhere receiver out of the living room kit and plug it into the car kit to listen to on the way to work every day. When I get home, I take the receiver inside and pop it back into the stereo. The unit has 24 channel presets and it remembers them no matter where it's docked. Sirius is great. I signed up for two years of service and I'm glad I did.

Don't buy this radio for Sirius Satellite Service..........2004-02-24

I've liked using this radio so far, and have used it with Sirius successfully, but I would advise those looking for a new radio and want it to work sith Sirius Satellite service to look at Kenwood, Audiovox or another brand that offers Sirius ready units. I've tried to put back this unit in a new car I just purchased that replaced one that had been stolen (and had replaced this head unit as well), and found that the process of finding a receiver to work with this head unit is near impossible. The CR-SRT100 receiver that is necessary for Sirius service with this unit has been discontinued by Panasonic and is only available at places like Ebay. Also, some of the newer satellite radio antennas like the TERK SIR3 are geared to work with a single input receiver rather than the dual input receiver that the CR-SRT100 is. The splitter necessary to connect these antennas to this hard to find receiver is equally hard to find as well. You will spend a lot of time trying to find these parts if you try goind down the route I did. This isn't a radio that you can just take to Circuit City and have them "install Sirius" one afternoon and be done with it. It won't be as simple as that.

I called Panasonic about this, and they just told me that the newer 2004 models of Panasonic head unit models are no longer Sirius ready, so don't count on much future support from Panasonic, even though there don't seem to be any public announcements about this. If you want Sirius Satellite Radio, get another brand like Kenwood or Audiovox instead.

I bought Sceptre product and the quality was not I expected. I contacted their tech support, the customer service was not friendly and not professional.

Price is great..... BUT.............2003-12-28

We absolutely CANNOT get this thing to focus properly. We're not computer experts, however, we are handy w/a computer, and have technological common sense... so you would be remiss to dismiss our opinion as that of the "Joe Next Door" computer owner.

We have followed the directions and trouble shooting directions TO THE "T".... but the only results we can get is a partially in focus/partially out of focus view. If you manage to remove the horizontal and verticial lines so that none appear, as advised in the manual, it still leaves portions of the screen out of focus, so you have to settle on the "lesser of two evils" (which is less important to have in focus).

We've already returned one....and have the same problem with the second one.

We plan on contacting the maker to see if they can offer any better advise than what their manual offers - if we have any luck, we'll gladly edit our opinion to reflect the outcome of our efforts.

Sometimes you just get what you pay for, and that's the bottom line.

Great Camera.......2007-03-09

I bought this camera as my first digital camera. It has been a great first digital camera. And has mostly replaced my video camera as well - since it captures video at 640x480 @30fps. If I could do it over again I would have bought the next line of camera up from this one - because whereas this one capture video using mjpeg - the higher line of cameras from Samsung offer 640x480 30fps video using mpeg4. What the this means is - that instead of being able to capture about 30min of video on a 512mb SD card. You could capture about 2 hours of video on a 512mb SD card at nearly identical quality. All in all this is a great camera.

Because DVD recording is so new, when selecting DVD+Rs (or DVD-Rs for that matter), it is generally advised that one should start small: Because some DVD players may have some trouble playing some brands of recordable DVDs it is best to start by buying a small sample of blank DVDs and trying that brand out on your home's various DVD players to ensure that they all play it back fine.

I tried out these 4x TDK DVD+Rs and they worked fine in all of my household's DVD players, so I've stuck with this brand and made about 50 DVD+Rs, all at 4x speed, with only one bad disc so far (and that may have been my fault).

These TDK's have a frosted top with subtle TDK logos which are not distracting. Contrary to some reports, these are not made in Japan, they are Taiwanese, however they seem every bit as good as Japanese made ones.

Once you choose this brand/make, they will be easy to find when shopping because TDK's packaging for this particular style has a photo of a puppy dog on the front. Easy to remember. They come in spindles as well as in various wasteful packaging configurations.
