Product Description
The DVD-LV60 portable DVD player from Panasonic offers popular home theater features like Cinema Mode and Dialogue Enhancer in an ultra lightweight and compact package. Convenience features include high-speed smooth-motion scan, auto switching field/frame still, forward and reverse frame advance, and chapter preview. With twin laser pickup, regular-format CDs as well as home-recorded CD-R and CD-RW media with MP3s can be played along with your DVDs. The LV60 player is equipped with S-video outputs, Dolby Digital and DTS output, standard audio/video outs, and optical digital-audio outputs for convenient connection to a TV and audio system. An easy-to-use joystick-type control is featured on the unit. Nothing brings home the cinema experience like DVD, including the enjoyment of rich theater like sound. But sometimes a movie's soundtrack can overwhelm a scene and even drown out the dialogue. The Dialogue Enhancer feature conveniently solves this problem by boosting the volume of the center channel, where most of the principal dialogue emanates when playing a Dolby Digital 5.1 disc, by 6 dB, so viewers don't have to strain to hear the actors during a noisy scene. The Cinema Mode feature is sure to be a film aficionados' favorite. When selected, Cinema Mode enhances the picture by reducing glare, softening resolution, and improving visibility of details in dark scenes, resulting in a more realistic, cinema-like image. The model DVD-LV60 features an impressive 5.8-inch 16: 9 widescreen LCD monitor and built-in stereo speakers. It is expected to deliver up to three hours of playback time (on the lowest brightness setting) from a single charge from the included rechargeable battery pack. The Panasonic DVD-LV60 is Energy Star compliant and comes with audio-video cables, an AC adapter, and slim remote control.

LV'it..........2003-10-24
A brilliant portable DVD player I must say. The image quality is excellent (with quite a big screen for the price..)Supports all region DVD's and te remote control is a handy tool also. I am only disappointed in the fact that it does not support JPG files and that the menu is quite restricted (you can scroll through i.e. mp3-files, but it can't show a listed menu. And I suppose this can't be changed in a 'sofware-like'way. But nevertheless...it plays your DVD's fine...
Mine died after 4 months........2002-04-24
Mine had no trauma to it. I just loved it and got it on a sale...Just last week though it would not power up with the power cord or the battery pack. Make sure you buy the extended warrenty!
Best piece of technology.......2002-04-05
I have yet to receive my LV-60, however, ive tested them out and read a ton of reviews. I am a young female electronics lover, and whenever the new things come out, it is hard to hold back. When portables first came out for [money], I thought...there's no way I'm ever gonna get one of those (although I wanted one...the shiny exterior and deeply crisp screens are hard to resist). I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with DVD, however, the battery does not last long enough to get through a movie, which means there is really no point at all...and it's a computer...which means it has to be kind of big and a hassle to take out and put away...you can't just start it up for the 15 minutes before the airplane takes off, and then have to shut it down..restart...etc etc etc. I do bring it along to watch movies at the hotels on a decent sized screen, but for being constantly on the road..and long flights, the portable DVD offers so much more (and a much finer picture). The Panasonic LV-60 is the one. It is one of the only ones that several stores have said they haven't had returns on. An extra battery for [money] seems worth it, it gives you double the watching time and basically all batteries for electronics are this price, or more. If you like Friends, you can get those DVDs, pop them in this player, and be entertained for hours....you can travel from North Carolina to California without even thinking "are we there yet?". A headphone splitter is inexpensive and well worth it, to share with your neighbor on the plane, or friends/family members who also get bored as hell. This is how I see it...summer is coming up, everyone is gonna travel, right? You've been good, you've worked hard...add to your vacation by indulging you and your family a little more than usual...you won't be sorry. This time when you're on the plane, people will be staring at YOUR silver and blue slender treat, instead of the opposite. If you'be been wanting one, this is the one to get...the most asthetically pleasing and functional portable entertainment system out there, without blowing a ton of cash. I'll follow up when I receive mine...
Awsome little gadget.......2002-03-26
I looked for MONTHs to find the perfect portable DVD player. One that combined quality, size, durability, and aforibility. I came out with this one, and I'm very happy with my choice. The picture quality isn't perfect, but I don't really know what to compare it too. It was very easy to work. I took it right out of the box, plugged it in, and watched a movie. (If you're watching a movie with no battery it uses the wall outlet as its power source, if you're not watching a movie, it charges the battery) The only problem, even though its very small, was that I had trouble getting the battery in the remote! And unfortunately the remote doesn't have a volume control... but its not THAT terrible. This comes with a cord to plug the player into your TV, and the quality of this is just as good as any other DVD player. Another thing I like about this player is that is allows you to write VCDs and play them. Many players have copyright locks and don't allow this. But because of this, I can burn VCDs of home videos and play them on my DVD player! Its great... In conclusion, this is the perfect player for just about anyone. There are a few kinks, and the screen isn't as big as some of the other players... But so much makes up for those little things that you won't care about any of it. Great job Panasonic!
The BEST..........2002-03-11
This Panasonic LV60 is simply the best unit in its price range. I originally bought the LV70 which has a 7" screen, but only plays DVD's or CD's. The L60 plays DVD's, Video CD's,CD's, CDR's, CDRW's and MP3's!! And the screen is only 1.2" smaller... The sound of the L60 is superb. There's VSS Cinema mode which improves sound thru the center channel. Though I have BOSE noise cancelling headphones and the sound thru them is also superb. The L70 is a wonderful unit as well, but now you're talking a bit pricey. Don't bother checking out the Sony FX-1, you will be disappointed, especially with the sound (what sound?). This L60 is compact, lightweight, comes with battery pack (attaches in such a way as to not make the unit any higher), an AC adapter, video cables, and also comes with a very sleek remote. If you want to pay more than what this unit costs, you're better off getting a laptop! Remember, this is a "portable dvd player". It should be compact, and this one is! A lot of stores are sold out of this product...because it simply is "the best"! Hope this review helps you in your purchase!
Product Description
Seagate Cheetah hard drive provides industry-leading performance for the most demanding applications, workstations, network file servers, and enterprise servers. The combination of its Fiber Channel interface and 10,000 RPM spindle speed makes the Cheetah drive one of the, if not the fastest drive out there! If you are looking for truly superior performance, the Cheetah will not disappoint you. With stated reliability and excellent performance, how can you possibly go wrong? The Cheetah has received Seagate's "AV Professional" stamp of approval, which means that Seagate has fine-tuned this drive to meet the requirements of today's most demanding audio/visual applications. It features embedded-servo technology to eliminate the need to perform periodic recalibration, which slows down data transfer, making this drive ideal for AV applications. Embedded-servo technology gets rid of data interruptions that cause dropped frames in video applications. The Partial Response Maximum Likelihood (PRML) technology keeps data clear from background interference and allows Seagate disk drives to increase areal density (disk capacity), boost transfer speed, improve yield through the drive's ability to self-calibrate and lower disk noise.

Great for close ups, poor on distance.......2006-08-03
I am an avid picture taker and I was so excited when I first got my Vivicam. But the more I used it, the more I disliked it. If you take a picture of a subject any more than 5 feet away, the pictures are all blurry and look out of focus. It really goes through batteries because it just runs off of 2 AA batteries, and if you use the flash you can probably only get about 12 pics before the batteries die. I wouldn't recommend this camera to anyone.

2.4 GHz analog cordless telephones feature the newest technology, transmitting and receiving over a less crowded frequency than traditional 900 MHz telephones. This technology drastically reduces background noise and provides enhanced sound clarity.
Amazon.com Product Description
The Southwestern Bell GH2400 cordless Freedom Phone combines 2.4 GHz technology with 50-channel auto search, resulting in an exceptionally clear signal and greater mobility than other cordless phones can provide. The compact handset fits comfortably in your hand and operates all the key functions.
The GH2400 has a memory feature that can store up to 10 phone numbers with up to 16 digits each for convenient dialing. If you misplace the handset, just press the page button on the base, and the handset rings. The phone also features one-touch redial and a flash function that opens a clear line or activates your call waiting or three-way calling options.
The Freedom Phone features security protections for your privacy. Voice scramble encodes the signal between the handset and the base when you place and receive calls, making it virtually impossible for someone to intercept or understand your private conversations. Your cordless phone also randomly selects one of 65,000 available security codes.
The Freedom Phone offers excellent sound quality and is easy to program. Its 2.4 GHz technology provides enhanced clarity, so your conversations will be static free up to about 80 feet from the base. The phone is designed with a dual-charge feature that allows the battery to be charged when the phone faces either up or down in the base. A belt clip gives you hands-free access to your phone and prevents your misplacing the handset when you take it outside. --Megan Dugan

Throwing this phone against a concrete wall brought a level of satisfaction that normal use was never able to deliver. Stay away from this phone! Primary problem was with picking up a dial tone - it rarely did. It did have one benefit - it should be marketed as an exercise device. When a call comes in it will force you to run for the corded phone.

BEWARE SAMSUNG DLP DESIGN FLAWS!!!.......2007-03-30
Consumers should be aware of serious design flaws which exist in Samsung DLP televisions. Cooling fans and color wheels are highly susceptible to failing. (As a non-techniocal person I should have no idea what these parts are, but alas, I bought a Samsung DLP) Expect these to fail within 1-2 years. Expect to pay approx $400 to replace the color wheel and $200 to replace the colling fan. That is, if your service technician can find them in stock anywhere. These parts are commonly in a national backorder because of the very high failure rates.
You should also expect the lamp to fail sooner than advertized. Many people need to purchase a new lamp between 1-2 years, and some more often than that. The lamp costs approx $150-$250 depending on your model, but you should be able to replace it yourself without too much difficulty. This cost will be in addition to replacement costs for the color wheel and colling fan. Please remember that these maintenance costs are recurring, and you will have to fix them again in another 1-2 years.
While I was very satisfied with the quality and performance of my DLP, my color wheel failed very early. I called tech support to report a grinding noise, and was told to "turn it off", wait 15 minutes, and turn it back on like this would fix the problem. After doing this for a while, the color wheel finally failed, actually shattered! Now I am out of warranty, and Samsung wants nothing to do with me. I have even tried ordering the part myself from two different online vendors, and they are both backordered indefinitely! It has been 6 weeks and they have no estimate for when this part will be available. Samsung cannot even give me an estimate when the supply of replacement parts is expected to meet demand. I have had my TV for 18 months, and apparently there is a national epidemic of them breaking at the same time!
I have a 42" Samsung Plasma which is a beautiful set along with a 26" CRT. Both are wonderful products, but Samsung is selling DLP LEMONS and will not stand behind them. DLP is a great bargain up front, but a maintenance NIGHTMARE! You will pay in the long run, and by the long run I mean every 2 years. If you still want to purchase a DLP television, PLEASE BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! IT WILL SAVE YOU A TON, BUT YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE CIRCUIT CITY TECH TO FIND PARTS WHICH MAY TAKE MONTHS!
I expect Samsung to abandon their design flaw riddled DLP sector, and focus on their beautiful plasma line. Expect DLP prices to drop even further, but please...LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP!
What can I say..........2005-11-01
about a TV that quits working after 22 hours. Well, for one, I would be hesitant to buy another Samsung product. This may be the finest TV since sliced bread, but it would be hard to prove by me. In addition, their so-called Customer Service Center is ill-named. All they do is serve as a middle-man for the third party repair center. Apparently Samsung has no quality control standards for these centers as it is a mystery to Samsung when the repair center will contact a customer and how long it will take to make a repair. I have been waiting over 4 days for a call back. A TV that doesn't work, can't be returned, and no one knows when it will be repaired.
Changes standard definition to high definition (almost).......2005-08-10
Excellent picture in both high and standard definition formats. Also best tuner that I have seen, I get hi-def broadcasts from over 70 miles away. This is with an outside over the air antenna, prior to this tv, I was using satellite reciever with over the air tuner and could not get any broadcasts over 50 miles away.

only one out there.......2007-05-16
if u want a keyboard for ur calculator, i'm pretty sure you're gonna have to settle for this one. ya, it has all the spiffy buttons like the letters (which aren't spiffy at all) and that's about it. No programming buttons or nuttin'. It's kinda pricy but it's the same everywhere.
It also comes w/ some cool software that is like notepad for calculators so u can save and manage your files. It's easy to set up except u have to download a new OS (operating system for the technically challenged) for the calculator.
Sweet for taking notes for a test u can use ur calculator on...not that i'm suggesting u can cheat or anything
overall good accessory for the calculator finatic
No programming keys?.......2006-05-13
I was rather excited when I heard about this keyboard, however now I'm not so sure. I assumed it would have some keys needed for TI-BASIC programming, at a minimum the STO key would be nice. But alas, it doesn't, just your standard keys. If you can't afford a laptop, I guess this would be nice for taking notes, but for TI-Basic I guess I'll stick to my laptop and TI-Graph software.
Terrific product, easy-to-use, great addition to TI 83.......2004-02-29
This keyboard is a great addition to my TI 83S+. I already have a laptop, but this is much easier, lighter and quicker to use in class. And I have the TI 83 with me anyway for the class I originally bought it for. Now, with the light weight keyboard I walk into other meetings/classes and in the space of two-three seconds it is up and "running" vs. my laptop friends who are just turning there laptop on or still waiting on it to complete loading. I was worried about the size of the font in the screen on the TI 83. No need to worry, it is very easy to see and is actually a delight. As for a note taker, I disagree with one of the other raters. The NoteFolio has menus and all and as a note-taker it seems sophisticated. The TI 83 has lots of room for memory and you can read it later or load it into your computer at home/apt. to print. The keyboard is full size and unlike other compacts I have used (my palm pilot GoType keyboard is much smaller). When I use this keyboard (for the TI 83) it is easy just as on my desktop at home. In fact I just type away. I recommend this to all. Real good way to avoid purchasing a laptop to take to class. I think I could even use this in the library to take notes! Again, one of its great advantages is it's light weight, ease in carrying, and use issue. I don't think you will regret this purchase.
does not work.......2003-10-07
use a pc tablet like real people. not a stupid calc.
Reminds me of the TI-99/4A.......2003-09-28
When I was growing up in the 1980's, my family owned a TI-99/4A computer, which was one of the first home computers. Using this keyboard with my calculator reminded me of that. We had a word processor. Just like the one that goes with this keyboard, there was no text formatting, no mouse, no graphics, and only very basic cutting and pasting functions. Nevertheless, I like this keyboard.
I got it as part of a grant. I really didn't want the keyboards at all, but they were part of the grant. As part of my grant, I needed to find a use for them in my classroom. So far I have used them for taking lab notes and for writing lab reports.
This has been wonderful. Students have easy access to data, can easily share lab notes, and can even take notes in class. I'm a science teacher, so naturally I enjoy this equipment. However, now the English teacher is interested in borrowing it. She likes the idea of the students typing essays in class (instead of hand writing them). It's almost like giving each student a lap top computer, but without the distractions or the hefty price tag.
I strongly recommend this tool!
So, why 4 stars and not 5? I've watched classrooms full of kids use the keyboard and I have used my own. I have noticed that the keyboard and cradle have very flimsy stands. They can break off even when a student is being careful.
In addition, there is too much cable. I like the way the cable is stored inside the cradle, but I do not like all the excess that can't be stored in it. These two feet of cable are hard to store (a consideration if it travels in a backpack).
Finally, I wish the keyboard came with a cover like the calculator does. I take mine at home at night to write up papers for my students (no, I don't own a computer). I don't like all the buttons out in the open to collect dirt and filth and to be held down by my books.
Other than these quibbles, I am very happy!
