Should you really "shake it like a Polaroid picture?"
Ever since the song "Hey Ya" by Andre 3000 of Outkast came out, everyone is shaking their Polaroid pictures. Shaking or waving a Polaroid picture to help the development process originated in the early days of peel-apart film. After peeling the negative, the image needed to dry before it could be handled, so waving the photo helped it to dry more quickly. When using the integral films (600, Spectra, 500, SX-70/Time-Zero, i-Zone) that are used in our most popular current camera models (Polaroid One, OneStep, JoyCam, etc.), the image develops and dries behind a clear plastic window and never touches the air, so shaking or waving has no effect. In fact, excessive shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause "blobs" in the picture. The best way to ensure a perfectly developed image is to simply lay the picture on a flat surface immediately after it exits the camera.

There are times when only a Polaroid will do, this camera is sleek and compact and super easy to use, kids LOVE it and it is great when you want to SEE the photo in your hand while on the road, the camera is a baragin but watch the price of the film it can get pricey if you don't keep your snapping under control.

This camera works great. It stays in my car and gets bounced around a lot. I had a cheaper one (the basic polaroid model) and after any turbulace it would spit out 3 pictures at a time and none would turn out. At $1 a pic, that's not cost effective. I've had no problems with this and it works great everytime I've used it. Worth the extra couple bucks.

Love this camera.......2007-01-10

This camera is such a pleasure to use. In freezing cold or searing heat -which we have a lot of in this area - it keeps cranking out the pictures. I also have a couple of digital cameras, but when I want a picture without having to deal with settings and other distractions, this is the camera I use. Love it!

Amazing scope for an amazing price.......2007-02-12

I planned on using this scope for target shooting at 100 yards. Unfortunately the product description at the amazon site was not all that detailed but I took a chance given the great review and the price. It turned out having the parallax setting I was hoping for. In other words you can focus the scope to any distance between 10 yards and infinite so you can get your target clear and parallax free at any range. The clarity of the picture at 100 yards with 24x magnification is amazing. It started raining while I was shooting and I was still able to use the scope effectively and the target remained bright and clear.
The reason why I am giving it 4 stars is that the scope I received is obviously one that was produced before Tasco changed ownership and as I understand it there is no support for this item.

Most all scopes have an identifying number on them.
That number is missing from most of the scopes I've looked at in
all of the listings shown.For example- Is this scope a w6x24x40
or is it a tr6x24x40 or is it neither one of theese?

Definately worth it.......2003-03-17

I purchased the D-FJ61 a few years back and wanted to get a new unit. I was pondering between the FJ-401 and this one. The FJ-401 is the same unit, excluding the remote function and rechargeable batteries- but its definately worth the extra money to get those. The player itself is all you would expect from Sony- I had no major issues. TV/Weather Band is a nice feature, but I can't get any Weather Band Stations. There are only 3 direct preset buttons- but they can be set for any band. There's no more FM1/2/3- presets can be scrolled through now, and there's room for more presets then there are stations that I listen to- I could pretty much preset every station there is. The CD player works great- G Shock Protection has a defiante edge over ESP. The rechargeable battereries included have quite a long life as well. If you're looking for a portable CD/Radio Tuner Combo and don't mind putting in the extra buck, this is the one to go with.

Great CD burner!.......2003-12-18

I have had this product for about 1 year now and i love it.

This product came with a version of Nero which is a very easy to use piece of software for buring CD's. Basically drag-and-drop and then click the burn button.

Setup was very easy. It even came with a free VHS tape (i would have prefered a DVD) which showed how to install the drive.

Worked fine with Windows XP Pro. Just install the drivers from the CD.

The only major downfall was that this was a tad bit on the pricey side. Also, seeing how its about a year old, it is now considered "slow". I find that it works fine though, can burn a full CD (700mb) in about 5 mins. Also, the way the software controles the Buffer level, i have never had any problems during burning.

A note to some though: The face plate is white with a blue cd tray. Some people may not like the blue, but i think it looks Awsome!

Nothing about it seems weak of "flimzy". When the tray is out, it is very sturdy. Also had the headphone jack and volume control in the front for listing to music, although i don't use this.

I am very pleased with TDK, and would quickly go back to them if i ever wanted another drive, such as their new DVD burners.

To sum up, this is a great product that i have enjoyed using.

This is the best burner. Very easy to use! The software that comes with the burner is as important as the burner itself. It takes you step by step through the entire process. Even helps you makes the covers and labels. Great for the amateur person who's leary about investing in a burner. This burner is ideal for everyone.

A Very Nice Burner.......2002-05-05

I got this burner for Christmas and have been burning MP3s and compilations of my favorite music like crazy. It's also a really nice thing to have when someone you know has a CD you were thinking of buying; that way you can just burn it onto your blank CD-R or CD-RW and save yourself some money. This burner is also really fast in recording (even if you only have one CD driver). It can burn up to 40x in speed! My computer isn't slow but its also not very fast. I have to burn things at 12x but even on that speed it's incredibly fast. Another nice thing about this specific model is that it comes with a easy to understand manual as well as a tape that goes into careful detail explaining to beginners how to use the product. Its actually really easy to use once you figure it out but for first-timers like me it can be a bit confusing. I'd say the entire process of putting all the songs into mp3 or wav format and then actually writing it, it takes about 20 minutes tops - and that's pretty fast. Some burners take up to an hour, but not with TDK's veloCD 24x10x40. The installation is also really easy to set up and the software is completely durable. I haven't had a single problem yet. WAIT! I take that back. I had a problem burning a CD once because of the song (not the device) and the CD drive refused to open. Luckily there's a little needle that you can stick through this tiny hole beneath the CD opener that automatically solves the problem. I didn't even have to call tech-support to get help. So overall this burner has its faults (like all things) but its pretty reliable in my book. I seldom have to worry about a problem arising. And if something does happen it's most likely the songs fault.

Tech support is a bust.......2002-03-01

I bought this product last week, followed their directions, had a 600MZ drive with 128 ram which was within their requirements.When the computer did not recognize the drive, I called tech support 3 times, and all times I was run around all over the internet to download this and download that. They didn't tell me how to find the information, just find it. Ended up having to take and have the drive installed by tech. They had to re-install OS. 98SE Still am waiting for the TDK tech to call me back after he had done some research. It was suppose to be an easy install, In my case it wasn't, and tech support gave me the run around.

I picked this drive up a few weeks ago. It's an incredible drive for the price, although Amazon could stand to get their price lined up more with other vendors, as this drive has gone for as little as sixty dollars in some stores after mail in rebate.
