As far as getting this card to work with my PDA, this card was certainly the easiest. I also bought an AmbiCom BT2000 card, and with that card I couldn't get my PDA to connect to my phone. It was very nice, just didn't work with my PDA well. After that experience, this took me 10 minutes.

Important added bonus - this is the least obnoxious card out there. It's so small that it does not stick out of the slot, which prevents it from being seen and/or damaged. Blinking lights on your card are overrated!

I'm using an Audiovox Maestro with the Socket card + an Ericsson T68 cell phone. I don't know what the complaints are about, it works like a charm. I keep the phone in my pocket and web-browse using my PDA, or I can synch them wirelessly. Setup was a complete breeze, the current Socket software for handhelds walks you through the process. I can't imagine this being any easier, and I'm shocked by the other comments. Maybe their beta software sucked, but the release versions are wizard-driven and simple.

Portable and effective, could use some improvement........2002-05-24

There are a few annoying things with this unit. It doesn't always connect when it should, but resetting the Jornada makes the connection work. It certainly isn't as fast as I would like, average speed of 14.4.
All in all, the portability and functionality makes this a great buy. If you have the bluetooth kit and a pocket PC, this is a must have; at least until the next level improved modem comes along!

Anything but "easy" to use.......2002-05-14

The marketing hype says "easy and simple", I'm finding that Bluetooth is anything but. Had to download beta-test software from the manufacturer to make this card work with my PDA, and am now to consider myself an "early adopter". What happened to "simple and easy"-- and the card is selling for top dollar.

I got this card to work with Dell X5 PDA and my Sony T610 phone. However, I cannot get it to work with my Dell Latitude Laptop running Win 2000. It finds the remote device, allows connections, but if you try to move files, you get a protection error. Synchronization using the Sony software never finds the phone, even if it is connected, bonded.. Emails to Socket support get no reply. No mention of problems or hints in their FAQ. No updates for the Windows software or drivers on the website (they seem to be selling this software for previous card buyers). They get two stars because it worked with the PDA.

Gratuitous comment: why does anyone think Bluetooth has a future? It is more complicated than wifi, slower, and seems more difficult to use. Once the low power wifi chips enter the market, bye-bye Bluetooth.

Poor Customer Service .......2006-12-14

I love satellite radio but I would be cautious about buying an Xact unit. Xact products carry a 12 month warranty. At exactly 13 months the unit stopped working. Xact customer service informed me they were no longer responsible for the unit. Before buying this product search the web and you will find many "13 month" stories. Instead, I would suggest buying directly from Sirius.

Could be a great product.......2005-11-19

Unfortunately, it is not. I bought the Xact unit in June 2005 and it worked marginally at best until early September 2005 when it completely stopped working. After wrangling with their horrible customer service staff for countless hours, they finally replaced the unit after more than a month. My second one worked for 6 weeks. I can say with all certainty that this is the worst product I've ever purchased and the worst service I've ever received.

this controller is so awesome mainly for the fans. The controller is terrible, the buttons are a bit off and the only game that i have found that works with the controller is Halo, of course. the fans are very usefull and work great but the problems, iv tried this on 3 xboxs and on all of them it doesnt work especially on medal of honor so the controller is probly a waste of money unless you are using it for LAN parties or a marathon of halo.

the problem is the headset cartridge doesnt fit in all the way! to fix that problem, get some snips or something to cut it and remove the top front area on the top of controller. on mine its green. after that the cartridge should fit in properly and work.

Nice Controller - Doesn't work with Xbox Live!.......2003-01-02

The fan feature is very helpfull and it actually does cool you down so your hands don't sweat. It also has 2 different speeds which is cool. The controller feels very comfortable in your hands as well. If it worked with Xbox live I would give it 5 stars. Even though it has the expansion slots when you put in the Xbox live headpiece module in it doesn't work. I thought my first unit was defective and returned it for another one - with the same problem. I searched around on the internet and found out that others went through the same exact thing. It's too bad because it's really a neat controller. Get if it using it with Xbox Live! is not important to you.

The only part that works are the fans.......2002-12-28

I just bought one of the Nyco AirFlo Controllers for Xbox, and was very sad to learn that it simply didn't work as a controller--the fans work like a dream, and I can imagine how much of a help they would be during intense gameplay; but the interface malfunctions on the one I bought (and I tested it on two Xboxes, as well as the fact that my MS controllers all work perfectly)so that the controlled character is always trying to run backwards; no forward movement is possible; triggers work haphazard; buttons rarely work at all, and when they do, they don't work as they should, etc, etc. Also, for gamers with large hands, for which the original MS controller is perfect, will find the AirFlo controller too small, with the buttons too closely spaced, and more reminescent of the MS s-controller. Additionally, the plug is maybe a hair too large for the controller port on the Xbox, so that, while it fits, it is almost forced and not smooth like the MS-made controllers. Also, the buttons and analogue sticks have a hanging quality and a 'cheap' feel. Altogether, a great disappointment.

Excellent concept.......2002-11-09

This is the first controller of its kind. The fan supplies an adequate amount of air to my hands and keeps them cool and sweat free. The button placement is excellent, and the sticks are slightly above average. However, the left trigger became slightly unresponsive. This may be a fluke, but I would be careful when buying this product. Nyko has a limited warranty for this product, so you may return it to them so they can fix it if it is defective. It is worth buying if none of the main functions of the controller are defective. It's an excellent concept, and I'm surprised nobody thought of it earlier.

I bought the Visioneer 3100B scanner over two years ago and am very happy with it. The price is low and the scanner is easy to set up and install. In fact, I liked the 3100B so much I purchased one for my cousin as a wedding gift, and encouraged my aunt to get one herself, which she did. As far as I know, they all like it. There are other scanners with more sophisticated features, but the 3100B has everything the ordinary computer user needs. I use mine to scan important documents and fax them in, as well as scan family photos and send them thru email.

I've found our Visoneer 3100 flatbed scanner to be easy to use and a very welcome edition to our home office. If you are in the market for a basic scanner to keep friends and family updated with photos of any kind, this is a truly wonderful product! It is a snap to use, and it barely takes up much memory space on the hard drive! It is quite reasonably priced, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a scanner to do basic functions! I can even make homemade holiday cards with it! It is great!
