This product has been working fine since I purchased it a few months ago. It comes with a plastic holder which can only hold one sd card at a time (others can hold 4) I think some of the other brands may hold a bigger bang for the buck, since I think the qualities are similar. I kinda wished I had purchased more than 32MB card. It is quite annoying switching in between cards.

The Viking 32 MB SmartMedia memory card is an excellent quality card that works as promised. Its suppliers deliver my orders at the speed of lightening or e-mail. I've used the Viking SmartMedia cards exclusively for the last two years without a single problem. The photos are clear. I have no problem retrieving them off the card. My Olympus Digital 3.0 MP Camera D550 records about 350 photos at 640X480 resolution. The Viking price on Amazon.com is the best on the market.

If that doesn't qualify for a 5 rateing I don't know what does. Increases (at 1600x1200) amount of pictures you take from 16 on the 8 meg card to 64.

Was Expensive But Serves Well.......2002-10-09

I had bought this 32 MB card way back in 2002. At that time such cards were very expensive. Added to that I had ordered a camera with this card which Amazon did not ship!! So I had yo keep the card unused till I could buy a compatible camera from them.

The card is still serving me well, no complaints so far!

I have had mine for awhile now and can't think of being without it. I use it mainly for my digital camera. I take allot of pictuers so it gets lots of use. Its like haveing a hard drive for my photos. The transfer rate is fast and flawless. I am going to order a few more just to have them. You know I trust it when I used it for the photos of my daughters wedding. I have some that were more expensive but they don't work any better then this one does.

Great, Inexpensive Little Communicator.......2007-01-05

We have several of these little communicators, and we love them. When my husband is outside or in the hangar, I can talk to him when I'm inside the house. We also use them when we're both inside. It beats yelling when we're on separate floors. We have additional sets at our weekend cabin where we sometimes have quite a distance between us. I have no idea if they actually reach 2 miles, because we don't use them in that capacity. We have owned several other communicators, and this is our favorite for our particular use. They don't eat up batteries like some of the others did either. I would definitely recommend these to someone whose needs are similar to ours. They're excellent for that use.

Limited range; best features require separate accessories.......2006-02-09

I cannot for the life of me imagine how this company can, in good conscience, claim that these radios have a range of up to two miles. OK, maybe if the two people using them are in a flat, empty field with direct line of sight. Maybe.

In my suburban neighborhood, these radios have a range limit of one block, which is about a quarter mile. It doesn't matter whether you use the FRS or the GMRS channels -- the results are the same.

I was attracted to these radios because they have voice activation (VOX), but even when it's set to the maximum sensitivity, you have to either speak unnaturally loudly or hold the radio up to your mouth to get the voice activation to pick up your transmission, so you're not getting a hands-free operation that way. The way around this is to purchase a headset, which is $9.95 + shipping.

The reviewer who is using these as an intercom system in his home has probably come up with the cleverest and most appropriate use for these, since their range is so limited. Of course, unless you want to be replacing batteries all the time, if you wanted to keep them on all the time, you'd have to use an adapter which is -- you guessed it -- sold separately for $9.95 + shipping.

To be fair, these radios are incredibly cheaply priced, so what can one really expect? But at the same time, I think it's fair to expect that I would be able to communicate farther than just across the street.

UPDATE: I was so dissatisfied with these radios, I attempted to return them to the manufacturer. Manufacturer would not take them back. They told me that the radios have a "limited range" when near buildings. So unless you plan to use these in a building-free zone, don't waste your money!

We use this as part of our home theater in a smaller room. It has been a great product. Friends with much higher end systems have been surprised when they found out this was a "Home Theater in a Box" system. I wanted something relatively inexpensive, but with great sound. For our environment, this has been awesome.

I bough this item based on the reviews...and I have to say that I'm totally happy with it, it sounds great, for movies and for music. The sound enhancer really works with the Ipod , and the night mode really helps when you want to see a movie during the night without disturbing your neighbors.... and you don't want to use the awful tv speakers. What's even better it's that are very cheap...they cost less than may 2.1 optionS, ej the i pod HI FI speakers
BUT THE SOUND A 100 TIMES BETTER.

I've attached it to my LNS4095D with an optical cable and it makes the TV a real theater system intead of an excellent display with really flat sound.
I got it for $270, the only upsetting thing is that shipping is so expensive

it is good,subwoofer needs a little more punch.when doing the adjustment((hint) for highier sound quality put (the sound by-pass )in off position.Although front speakers sound good,they could had sound better if they were accoustically improved.I am almost an audiophile.In general I like this yamaha specially for music.

Great sound for the price.......2007-04-12

I had been looking for a decent "out of the box" home theater system to save me the trouble of mixing and matching speakers, receivers, etc. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money. I like to watch a movie once in awhile, but I play alot of video games. I just wanted sound that was immersive and added to the experience. This system accomplished that.

I'm not a technical guy but I know the importance of good speakers, so the focus of my search was quality speakers. I love the speakers that came with this set. They look and sound good. My only complaint is the sub-woofer. The bass doesn't seem as deep and booming as it could be. I find myself manually adjusting the bass levels to bring out the booms.

Anyway, I am very happy with this system. For a normal guy that just wants good sound at a decent price, this was a great purchase.
